In the Halifax Farmers Market, the stones are worn up the stairs and through the hallways…parts of the building were constructed in 1830 as Keith’s Brewery. Some families have been coming to market longer than records show. This is the oldest operating market (c 1750) on the continent and it is one of the finest in Canada.
