YES! I PLEDGE TO SUPPORT FOOD DAY CANADA AND SHINE A LIGHT ON CANADIAN FOOD AND FARMING ON JULY 31,2021!
By pledging to be a Food Day Canada partner, we agree to promote Canadian ingredients and people in the food system with the spirit of the Food Day Canada celebration.
How to participate?
1. Bring your food to the party.
You grow the incredible food we are celebrating. Thank you! Share your farm, family and food stories with the rest of Canada. Translate what you grow into food relatable stories – ie acres of wheat into bowls of pasta or corn into corn chips, or how many people can eat your servings of berries or glasses of milk. What’s your favourite recipe? Spots on the farm? What do you love about farming? What excites you about the future of agriculture in Canada?
Take some pics and videos and use #FoodDayCanada to join the conversation with millions of others!
2. Shop, cook, and dine like a Canadian

3. Shine a Light
- DIY: On July 31, 2021 at 9:00 p.m., shine a light to show your support! Through your window, on your balcony, on your front porch, or wherever you are, turn on your flashlight, on your phone or other lights. This will create a wave of lights across timezones.
- Check the Food Day Canada website to see If there’s a local icon or building lit up red and white near you, make a road trip and take a pic with it!
- Share your light pics with us #FoodDayCanada to enter to win a great Canadian food prize basket!
