Restaurants Canada

Restaurants Canada (formerly CRFA) is a national, not-for-profit association representing Canada’s diverse and dynamic restaurant and foodservice industry. With more than one million employees; 80,000 locations; and 18 million customers a day, the restaurant industry is the number one source of first jobs for young people. It helps to build neighbourhoods, drive tourism, and fuel Canada’s agri-food production.

Restaurants Canada members comprise 30,000 businesses in every segment of the industry, including restaurants, bars, caterers, institutions and their suppliers.  As an association, Restaurants Canada works tirelessly on their behalf with all levels of government in support of a strong restaurant industry that contributes jobs, investment, and a wide range of culinary choices to communities across the country.

At the forefront of critical issues such as food safety, nutrition information and allergy awareness, through specialized training programs, information and resources, Restaurants Canada also offers a suite of industry research, information, events, programs and discounts that keep our members informed and competitive.

Founded in 1944, it was first known as the Canadian Restaurant Association, then the Canadian Restaurant and Foodservices Association. The organization celebrated its 70th anniversary by unveiling a new logo, name and tagline: Restaurants Canada, The voice of foodservice.

While head office is in Toronto, there are regional offices in Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Montreal and Halifax.

By collaborating with Food Day Canada, Restaurants Canada furthers its Mission of “Uniting our members to advance the full potential of Canada’s foodservice industry”.
